オーストラリア・日本での就職とキャリア形成 ― 海外経験を活かしたキャリアの築き方 ―
イベント概要
本イベントは、オーストラリアと日本の両方でキャリアを築く可能性について考えるイベントです。
本イベントでは、人材業界の視点から「日本とオーストラリアの就職動向」を解説するとともに、日本と海外でキャリアを築いてきた「2名のスピーカーによる対談」を行います。
今回のスピーカーは、ともに海外の大学へ進学し、日本での就職活動を経験した後、オーストラリアでの就職も経験しているという共通のバックグラウンドを持っています。それぞれの経験をもとに、日本とオーストラリアの就職活動やキャリア形成の違い、海外経験をどのようにキャリアに活かしてきたのかについてお話しします。
オーストラリアでキャリアを築いている方・築きたい方、大学・大学院在学中の方など、それぞれの状況に応じたキャリアの考え方について理解を深める機会となれば幸いです。永住者・短期滞在者どなたでもキャリアのヒントを得たい方が対象です。
イベント後にはネットワーキングも予定していますので、ぜひお気軽にご参加ください。

日本にてリクルーターとしてキャリアをスタートし、製造業・化学業界・IT業界を中心に、マーケティングおよびコミュニケーション領域の採用支援に従事。単なる人材紹介にとどまらず、企業の成長を支えるパートナーとして幅広い採用支援を行う。その後、ベンチャーキャピタル業界へ転身し、大手企業の新規事業立ち上げ支援や、海外スタートアップと日本の食品・飲料業界のリーディングカンパニーとの連携を推進。イノベーション創出や新たなビジネスの構築に携わる。現在はPERSOL AustraliaのKorea Deskの立ち上げメンバーとして、これまでのビジネス開発、コンサルティング、人材紹介の経験を活かし、企業と個人の双方に寄り添った支援を提供。

Event Overview
JAIT is hosting a networking event focused on career development between Australia and Japan.
This event will explore career opportunities across both countries and provide insights into navigating job markets in different international contexts. The session will include an overview of the latest hiring trends from a recruitment industry perspective, followed by a conversation between two speakers who have built their careers across Japan and overseas.
Both speakers share a unique background: they studied at universities abroad, went through the job-hunting process in Japan, and later experienced job searching and career development in Australia. Drawing from these experiences, they will discuss the differences between the Japanese and Australian job markets, as well as how international experience can shape and strengthen one’s career path.
This event will be particularly helpful for university or graduate students, working holiday participants, and professionals currently based in Australia who are exploring their next career steps.
A networking session will follow the event, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow participants and speakers in a relaxed setting.

About speakers
Miri Kim / Recruitment Consultant at PERSOL Australia
Started career in Japan as a recruiter, supporting hiring initiatives across the manufacturing, chemical, and IT industries, with a focus on marketing and communications roles. Worked closely with companies not only as a recruiter but also as a strategic partner supporting long-term business growth through talent acquisition.
Later transitioned into the venture capital industry, supporting new business development initiatives for large corporations and facilitating collaborations between overseas startups and leading Japanese companies in the food and beverage sector. Contributed to innovation and the development of new business opportunities.
Currently a founding member of the Korea Desk at PERSOL Australia, leveraging experience in business development, consulting, and recruitment to support both companies and individuals.

He founded IT consulting company – sazae.com.au for small & middle size of businesses. He also founded the Japan Australia IT Group (JAIT) which has grown to over 350 members since humble beginnings in 2009. Worked and working several startups such SMS coupon, mobile payment, legal platform and eduction platform.
